Linda plays storyteller, Violet, an eccentric brightly costumed character, dressed in 1950s style clothes. Wish You Were Here parties are suitable for children aged 5 to 9 years and storyteller Violet sits on her stripy deckchair and entertains the children, with original stories she has written. She has a long list of stories to choose from, all of which are amazing, fantastical and full of fun.

The parties are particularly suited to small groups of children who prefer more structure and less noise at a birthday celebration. Violet will also organise activities such as structured drama games or craft tasks, based around the story she has told.

Linda can also offer a bespoke story for a child’s birthday which is tailor made for the birthday boy or girl, with the child as the hero of the tale, incorporating their likes, favourite toys, songs, hobbies etc! The bespoke story is then read aloud by Violet at the party.

Linda also offers a virtual visit to the birthday child and family via Zoom or similar, when she will read the bespoke story aloud and share a chat about all things birthday! Whether the storytelling visit is in person or virtual, Linda will also supply you with a paper copy of the bespoke story, decorated by professional artist, Dotty Delightful. This can either be presented in person at the party or sent via email to be printed off at home to keep and read again and again.
